You really can't make a sweeping generalization like that about either


store.

Really comes down to store-by-store personnel. Within one town, Lowe's may be great and HD a hot mess, then it could be the exact reverse on the other side of town.

Supposedly, the corporate strategy of Lowe's is to target the homeowner while HD targets the professional contractor. So you will see a few differences based purely on that. But your overall experience in either one is going to primarily depend on whether the employee you talk to has a fully functional give-a-damn or not.
