Probably quite interesting. Cable TV was absolutely the change factor
Turner definitely recognized the wave of the future with cable TV, he was out front with TBS and CNN and all that, but McMahon, Jr, no doubt having been trained by his father for so long, saw the goldmine of national level pro wrestling on cable and went for it aggressively, if I recall how it all went down.
Turner was behind the curve on creation of WCW, but I have heard he always felt (typical of Turner's ego) that he could overtake and crush McMahon. He was wrong.
Would be very interesting to read, and hear, exactly how cut-throat they all were in regards to buying up the regional territories from the promoters, like Crockett, and who made that big bucks and who got squashed.
