That's okay, Marinelli was the #1 seed in 2019 as well, we saw how that

turned out. Not to pick on Marinelli because he seems like a good person himself and workhorse wrestler - he seems more suited to the shorter tournaments. What really made it tough for him in 2019 was he had a tough match in the first round (Joe Smith who was a former AA), and perhaps he looked beyond Mekhi in the 1/4 finals anticipating 2 more tough matches. And then in consi's he also got beat by Chance Marsteller. Back in 2018 he made the semis, and then lost to IMAR (no disappointment in anyone losing to IMAR then), Wick, and then the famous spladle by DMF.
Something about the NCAAT has been different and more challenging to him than the regular season, Midlands, or even the B1G tournament.
