In my opinion, buying the last year of any vehicle's "generation"...

...is a sound practice. One of my personal rules is to never purchase the first year of a generation, particularly if there was a complete redesign. It seems like doing that just makes you part of the "beta testing" program for all of the new gadgets and features. I have two Ram trucks that are both the last of their respective generations (2001 and 2008) and have had very good luck with both. (according to the Lounge, apparently I have the only two good trucks Dodge ever made 😉)

Good luck!
