Generally they are not actively managed patched by the vendor


riddled with vulnerabilities again usually. Poorly supported, etc. Always found them to be more of a headache including repeaters, boosters, etc. They are band-aids to issues not actual fixes for just about very scenario. Oh and they can cut bandwidth in half.

I said it a little bit in jest but also with some truth behind it.
