Not sure what to tell you. I really enjoyed it. It maybe a generational

thing. Movie was released in 1964 and during that time folks were very fearful of Nuclear War. Remember that the Cuban missile crises had just happened and fallout shelters were popular. Anyway, they were making fun of those fears. Not sure how old you are but that may be the reason.

FWIW I did not like 2001 either
