Many great songs over the years, but problem was too many Alpha Dogs

Their issues as a band, were absolutely brought on by being a band of all alpha dogs.

Every one of them. With huge egos. Frey and Henley especially.

Walsh was/is a great player, great entertainer, and brought a rock edge and grit to them to make them better, but he was an absolute fall down drunk for years..... caused all sorts of issues with the incredibly stiff and serious Henley.

Felder was/is an outstanding player, probably the best technically of all of them. Definitely had a huge ego too. An alpha dog as well.

Too many lead chefs in the kitchen.
