The addition of Coach Lewis has had a dramatic effect on this year’s team. His ability to throw various versions of batting practice has freed up Coach Gillis to work primarily with our young pitching staff. This probably has contributed to the quick development of our incoming freshman pitchers, particularly the just turned 18 years old Ivy R. With an anticipated heavy loaded conference schedule, we will need a strong pitching staff to stay at the top of the ACC Conference.
