That's the key... "over time." Eventually it will be cost effective to


convert to solar, for example. But for now, it's just not. We'll get there. Just have to give it time. In a hundred years, we're probably not burning coal or gasoline anymore. And if we have learned nothing from The Year of COVID, it should be that this planet is resilient. It doesn't take long for Mother Earth to bounce back. When everything shut down last spring, there were stories all over the Net about how clear and clean the sky and waterways had become while people were sheltering in place and not commuting to work. It was a matter of weeks.

Once the conversion to clean energy finally gets a firm foothold and really starts expanding, the environment will clean up in a hurry. No reason to get so worked up over hockey-stick graphs.
