The only battery in the cargo area is the engine battery. The hybrid

battery is under the back seat. The next model up has a mini spare that sits around the engine battery and it's listed as an accessory on the Ford website. I already let the salesperson know that I want it. There's no way a full size spare would fit. That I am sure of.
