I don't think you understand how the flu shot works.


Besides what BG posted below, I'd also add, it takes around 2 weeks for your body to develop enough antibodies from the flu shot to offer protection, so it's very possible you already had it or caught it right after. Also, the flu shot protects against a particular strain...but that doesn't mean you couldn't have caught another strain. You didn't get the flu from the flu shot.
