Pretty sure my hometown contributed directly to that windfall


Seems like "Porky's" was held over for like six weeks straight that summer. Since we only had two screens in our town, I think everybody saw that movie about a dozen times.

For some reason "On Golden Pond" was also showing at the same time and was also held over for several weeks. And that odd pairing pretty much scarred me for life. My memory still gets muddled sometimes. Occasionally I misremember a character played by Katherine Hepburn disrobing from the waist down in the locker room and Pee Wee crashing Norman's boat in Purgatory Cove.
