I do miss Nebraska having a rivalry like Oklahoma and the old Big 8 days.


The Big XII was a different animal, though, and removed the annual Nebraska/Oklahoma rivalry long before Nebraska left for the Big 10+. I vastly prefer the Big 10+ for Nebraska over the Big XII, though I'm very disappointed with the Big 10+ actions this month.

As an overall college football fan, I also miss some of the other rivalries that have collapsed with conference realignment as well, like Texas vs. Texas A&M.

I also liked the old bowl set up too, though I was in favor of the idea of trying to get a #1 vs. #2 matchup as part of it.
