The biggest impact is lack of cash to subsidize Olympic sports


VT Wrestling needs to get as close to self-funding as possible to minimize the risk of being axed. They should start charging for duals at Cassel, for example. Corporate sponsorship would also help. I think that Coach Robie has done the best job of any VT coach in creatively marketing his team and interacting with fans. VT now needs to figure out how to get more cash for wrestling if the football cash cow runs dry.
