My living room is 2 story, and I never had an issue compared to other rms

It certainly wasn't cooler in the summer. The cold air was not blowing much due to the temp at the thermostat. Now, I guess the difference is really due to where the thermostat is located. If his is in a different room, you may be right. Mine is in the two story room.
