My house has a mystery hot room

Two bedrooms on the second floor face the east, so they get full morning sun. One is the master. The master is a lot bigger than the other, and is served by two AC vents, one of which is shut. The other has one vent.

The master has three windows, the other has two. The master has a vaulted ceiling. The other's windows are shaded by dark curtains, the master's are not.

The other room is about 15 degrees hotter than the master in the morning.

What should I be looking for here? I'm stumped.
