Haven't had a refund since my daughter graduated college and the education credit stopped showing up on my tax returns. Mrs. CPA was concerned we never get a refund. I explained it as a byproduct of my being a business owner. I take a nominal salary every year and withhold tax on it, but my business income makes it so it's never quite enough. This year I have to pay Uncle Sam just und $2 grand and I have to pay Uncle Ralph a little over $1 grand. That's manageable, since it's always due when I happen to be flush with cash.
