from someone or some show that doesn't seem to have an agenda about it. It's simply the life he had. Their outhouse drained to the yards next door. Were it not for planks laid across the ground, you'd basically walk through a neighbors waste to cross the yard.

as noted in this thread, when he moved to his GF's house, he and his brother would flush the toilet.....because they had a toilet.

I'm only 7 years younger, and that was a far cry from what I saw.
