A lot of that is demographic dependant; people with better than average


income will maintain their cars, usually. chances are you moved to an area with pretty good income levels. lower income folks will not maintain their vehicles nor will those that are simply lazy. Inspections require everyone to do a bear minimum.

MD is an example. low end areas in MD have shit cars on the roads since they only require the inspection once during ownership.
