Economy Will Be so so IF
We decide to crush the virus like South Korea and Germany have. If we decide to open up before it is safe which seems we are doing in many states, it will make the economy worse over the next year or 2. You have to test and track until the vaccine comes around. Many sectors are doing just fine -- tech sector, Health sector, finance/banking -- per the market (maybe 60% of the S&P 500?). Many large retailers are doing ok or even great - Amazon Walmart. Travel in the dumps and expect cruise lines and airlines will continue to suffer. A huge percentage of the economy is in a handful of major cities(NYC, DC, Silicon Valley , Dallas/Houston, LA, Boston); how we keep that economic engine running is the more important question.
