There were a lot of different approaches by many counties.


But in the end all seem to follow almost identical timelines (12 weeks) and those that shut down didn’t have better infection or fatality rated than many counties who did not shut down. It appears the counties with the highest rates of testing per capita also have the highest of rates of infection. And the healthiest societies had fewer fatalities. Obviously more can change but I believe the shutdown model was an expensive and unnecessary decision. I also think the financial incentives for healthcare providers to code folks as covid without testing also led to higher numbers in the US. Incentives have sway.
