That disparity in how it affects people is a big deal

We know it affects the elderly and those with existing conditions worse than most.

But there is a not-small subset of completely healthy people who get it, and get it bad, and die pretty quickly too. And they don't know why yet. One theory is overreaction by the healthy immune system Another is some genetic factor we haven't found yet. Yet another theory is that the people this happens to got a huge amount of the virus (because a lot of healthy doctors/nurses have succumbed this way).

So if you are young and healthy... there is a good chance you can get it and get over it quickly and feel better. But if you are one of that group that doesn't, you are in deep deep doodoo. It's Russian Roulette.
