As well. The interviewer is just trying to keep the conversation in laymen’s terms. He does a good job for the most part. The doctor is dead on, at least for my way of thinking.
Yes, he was right to correct the interviewer as to there being value to slowing the rate of transmission but the doctor is the knowledge base & the interviewer is just doing his job by presenting questions. I’m not positive but I think that was when the Doctor said yes & no & then explained the pros & cons of slowing the virus, if I remember correctly.
I particularly thought the part beginning at the 17th minute was important. Which disputes the argument that how we tackle this virus isn’t just money verses lives. It is lives lost verses lives lost. There will be global consequences possibly resulting in lives lost to crushing the economy.
I bring all this up not to argue that anything we’ve done so far is right or wrong & I’m not trying to pin or deflect blame. I realize C19 is dangerous & we’re in a fluid situation flying blindly until more is known. I’m just pointing out the pros & cons of shutting this economy down.
