Some people said mean things about coal miners when they lost their jobs (or mean things about flyover states to go back to the post I original replied to) so let those city folks die. You think it’s “unrealistic” but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try. Instead you want to talk about an unrelated time that people weren’t empathetic. Those coal miners and these people in New York are all Americans and more than that they’re all humans. If you (and this is a general you) think that just letting New York burn and die won’t impact someone in Nebraska then you’re being naive.
