Well it’s a down year to be sure


And I’m sure they’ll be much more competitive next year. Darn near their whole roster is redshirting this year.

As for if they dropped wrestling? We’d most likely approach a MAC, SOCON, or EIWA team. ODU, Campbell, UTC, Lehigh, George Mason and American come to mind. Mostly schools without a ton of ties history to their conference. We wouldn’t get Maryland back, WVU is in the Big 12 to stay and some none of the Ivy schools would move. And I don’t think the conference would be interested in bottom feeders like VMI, Sacred Heart, etc. Lehigh is the only real established school that I could see being willing to come over. The ACC is improving and quickly getting on the Big 10’s level (at least in terms of overall quality... I don’t think an ACC school will ever “permanently” take over the likes of Iowa/PSU... at least not in the foreseeable future).
