Um that’s because EWL doesn’t exist anymore


The EWL was absorbed by the MAC so their 10 auto bids (1 per weight class) are absorbed into other conferences (potentially their new one, potentially not depending on whether or not the wrestler would have qualified) but their extra bids are definitely absorbed by the MAC.

Also EIWA has 17 teams compared to our 6, the Big 12 has 12 teams compared to our 6 and the MAC has 15 compared to our 6.

So saying they got busy is pretty inaccurate. By percentages, the conferences earned the following auto bids:
Big 10: 79/140=56.42%
Big 12: 54/120=45%
ACC: 35/60=58.33%
EIWA: 42/170=24.71%
MAC: 39/150=26%
PAC12: 15/60=25%
SOCON: 14/80=17.5%
