Tech has played NC State tight the past 2 years.


Lost 61-70 in OT to #8 NC State in Raleigh last season and lost to #9 NC State 69-76 in Raleigh last month after trailing them by 1 point after 3 quarters. NC State will be favored but of all the top tier ACC teams (Louisville, FSU, and NC State), I think Tech has the best chance of upsetting them, especially in Blacksburg. Tech has also played some competitive games vs. Louisville the past few seasons. A win over a top 10 team would help Tech's NCAA tournament seeding, but more importantly their confidence.
