Real Time RPI is predicting Tech to go 22-7, 12-6 in the ACC...
I've seen Tech seeded as high as a 6th seed and as low as a 9th seed in the NCAA WBB Tournament. If Tech is an 8th or 9th seed, they're likely playing UConn, Oregon or South Carolina in the second round if they win their first game. I'm hoping Tech plays well enough in February to avoid the dreaded 8/9th seed. Their RPI is currently #35. The UNC game in Chapel Hill will likely determine if Tech is ranked 4th or 5th in the ACC. If Tech can win at Chapel Hill, upset NC State in Blacksburg, and win the other conference games where they are favored, I can see them being a 6th or 7th seed in the NCAA Tournament. If Tech can finish in the top 4 of the ACC standings, I think they get 2 bye games in the ACC WBB Tournament. If Tech only wins 9 or 10 conference games, they'll probably be on the NCAA tournament bubble. They would have to win 1 or 2 ACC Tournament games to get in the NCAA WBB tournament. IMO, I think Tech is in good shape to finally make the Big Dance. They control their own destiny right now.
