Remember the "is Eli elite" conversation some years ago? A bunch of people

think he's HOF caliber. I think he's ok, probably a bit above average, fairly solid but inconsistent starter. Tons of turnovers. He's sort of Joe Flacco. He has a career passer rating of 84.1 in a league where (this year) the average is 88.6 (that's far from my favorite stat, but people use it). To my eye he was always a second quartile QB... was never in the same conversation with Peyton, Brady, Brees, Favre, Roethlisberger, Rodgers, etc.

As for winning two super bowls, there were a bunch of other guys on those teams. The second win he played well, the first he was just ok... didn't lose it but their DL and the constant pressure on Brady was the reason they won that one. And without two miraculous catches, one by Tyree and one by Manningham, he doesn't win any Super Bowls.
