I would say a majority of NFL owners don't understand pro football at all

The ones that do are continually good - KC, NE, GB, SEA, and even SF come to mind. The owners don't know how to run the business and they rely on their football people to give them advice they cannot understand. Why would they hire Shurmer? What a horrible pick for a coach. The NFL is completely incestuous. All of the guys in the management and coaching ranks protect themselves and make sure no new blood gets in. Why do you think it's the same guys moving from team to team over and over?
