Never bothered to look into the namesake until now...


despite the fact Montgomery County is the next county over and of course, I'm familiar with the one in SWVA. Yeah, totally forgottten guy in high school history class but must have been the man back in the day. Of course, that probably happens all the time and why, I suppose you name things after someone to keep them remembered. (Like who the heck was George Munger? let's rename it Joe Paterno award... Oops, bad idea)

Fought for both the British (on behalf of the American colonies) and for the American revolutionaries. Learned something today.
