it seems unlikely.

The standard for eligibility is you get 5 years to play 4. The ORS just changes that to 6 to play 4 for certain student-athletes. As long as you're not NCAA wrestling in that extra year, seems to me you should be fine, whether you take classes or not. Someone could choose to take a "regular" redshirt year in the middle of their eligibility and I don't think it would matter if they took classes during that year or not. I recognize, of course, that NCAA regulations don't always make the most sense :-)
