If WiFi proves to be a problem, we might see MoCA be more popular


as a way of retrofitting a wired internet network in a home by transmitting internet over coax. That'd look a lot like how TiVo Mini's work (which can use MoCA or Ethernet).

With that configuration, it can either be something the cable company packages and sells (in which case it looks a lot like UVerse which despite looking traditional is IPTV; but currently MoCA is used by at least FiOS for guide data), or a system you'd install to make an OTT YouTubeTV work without relying on WiFi.
