The only thing the team does or did that would effect Ben King was the team

time trial on stage 2.

The rest of the tour as far as scoring goes is based on individual time That's it

The route has numerous sprint, mountain, time bonuses throughout but once again that's on the individual.

This is man vs man and the tour is at the point now where a strong team can help to protect it's GC but at the end of the day like today's stage Alaphilippe was out there alone and paid the price
