Thanks again. It's obviously irrelevant whether I comprehend this or not,

since it's all OK with the teams and riders.
The closest anything I've ever done that compares with this is a big stretch to do so, but when I ran HS cross-country, every runner was timed and scored individually, which fed into the team score. In two-school meets, it was pretty cut and dried to time and score each runner, but in the one state meet I ran in with 210 runners, it was a zoo.
