Yeah, the 12:30 crowd didn't get on, got a few 12pm crowd. Lady says - and what tournament isn't running behind? - they'll reschedule us for 8am Saturday which is grate, except, that's four rounds to play in two days if you're the guy. (well two guys.) So that wipes out Saturday, prep for being gone all day.

So got to watch some 3.5s, 4.0s and 4.5s. I'm not a 4.5. Two 4.0's weren't slugging the ball, just consistent, get in position. don't try to do much with it. They'd beat me because I'd be too impatient. But on the other hand that's what I wanted to do today, just get a lot of hits in...

...and, if I were to win, I'd have a problem. Just challenged my rating down to 3.5, the computer would knock me back up to a 4.0 in a heartbeat if I beat a couple (one?) 4.0. player. and, uh, I'm kinda a ringer in a 3.5 tennis league. hmmm.

So, I'm playing 3.5 and figuring out ways to not play so well, I'll sign up to play tomorrow so I'll be more tired on Saturday. Probably not hit my pretty wicked left-handed serve. Just sorta "barely" win a few matches? That's hard, b/c if you don't concentrate you get sloppy and can't get back up.

Today's been a success though, just kinda seeing other players and understanding the landscape better. As I say, I don't want to win this thing, probably need to lose somewhere.
