Talking townhouse here, Been one of those shaggy dog stories, not sure who lived there or not, the mom alluded to getting her kid into a "good" school district so were they gaming the situation? people coming and going and days when no one seemed to be there. Some minor annoyances, cigarette butts in the yard, probably not intentional but the two guys seemed too spend a lot of time on the cell phone outside. Kinda weird coming home at 11:30 at night and there's a guy standing in front of your place. Had a habit of blocking my driveway on occasion - well, cutting off the angle to it sorta stuff. Couple a heavy smokers, the place would have become a cancer ward some day.

On the other hand, they were genial, shot the shiRt with the two younger guys, they seemed comfortable around me, Talked with the older guy Willie, blue collar guy, sharpened my electric lawn mower blade gratis, always appreciated that. talked to him yesterday, said they are moving b/c there are too many stairs (3 stories, two flights of stairs I guess I can go with that...) I kinda held my own, "I've been here all along people come and go" (being philosophical not being cold) ...and he's kinda the guy who gets that.

Whole family and friends out today loading stuff in the U-haul van and Willie's John Deer tractor mower etc. like something out of Faulkner. Devil you know or devil you don't know, Those annoyances were only occasional. who will move in next?

Just to complete the picture, I'm headed out to a tennis tournament in a few minutes, First one I've signed up for in 30 years. Why? I quit in my younger days - early 30s - when it was a 99 degree day. That kinda did it. high of 87 and humid, need to water and pace myself. I'm in the odd position of not really wanting to win, NTRP 3.5 tourney and I've got some 4.0 ish skills, don't want to crush someone have my ranking contested and get get bumped up quite yet for sake of leagues I'm in. (which I haven't played in yet) For the same reason, if I had entered a 4.0 draw and beat somebody, same problem. Goal is to get my head into the game, get some hits in and paradoxically, don't want to win too much. (Yeah, I'd rather play up, maybe next year)
