If they actually looked at the fluid, they would know it had been changed


You just pop the cap on the brake fluid reservoir and look at the fluid.

But shame on you for letting it get that bad in the first place. You should be flushing your brake fluid every 2-3 years. I recommend you buy one of these and start doing your own brake fluid flushes. It will pay for itself the first time you use it.
