I prefer the Pocket Rocket or Snow Peak LiteMax type stoves.


I like the flexibility of using different pots and pans. That said, I can see the value of the complete kit for longer hikes where you only heat water for dehydrated food. I tend to hike to lakes and spend the weekend there. We usually carry more weight in and we make things like pancakes, eggs, and other fun things.
