JMU 14-8 over Tech WLAX..

JMU took control of this game with 8 minutes to go in the first half. Kudos to JMU for playing great defense. Their goalie was key early whenTech was attacking at will (Tech lead 2-0 in the first 90 seconds). Draw controls weren't an issue until the 2nd half. JMU's McDaniel was taller than any Tech player during draws. We do miss Tristan McGinley's height. I thought Morgan Berman did okay at goal. We're now 0-17 all time vs. JMU. JMU came into the game embarrassed from their loss to UNC on Saturday and had something to prove. They played NCAA championship defense. Maybe if JMU had beaten UNC or played a lesser opponent (and won easily like we did vs. Bucknell) before playing us today, maybe things would've been different. JMU is proud of their 17-0 record vs. Tech and it will take an extraordinary effort for us to finally beat them. We're a young team this season and I expect us to maybe take a minor step backwards, but I think in 2 years we'll be competing for an ACC WLAX championship and more. We'll just have to be patient and hope John Sung stays around for awhile and continues to build something special at Tech. We have #20 Colorado coming in on Saturday. I hope this defeat fires us up as much as JMU was fired up today about getting blown out at UNC.
