Put our 11-year old Corgi down last week with cancer. Absolutely brutal.

Life expectancy for that breed is 12 to 15 years...and we decided with input from the Vet...that at 11 years of age it wasn't worth it. He would spend the last few years of his life...hating life. Would have been a very selfish decision on our part to pursue the high-risk surgery and chemo. At least...that's what we've convinced ourselves. He had a tumor underneath his tongue...and all the glands in his neck/throat had become inflamed and had small tumors on them.

His ashes were delivered to the house yesterday actually.

Good luck to you and your pup. It's an impossible decision.
