Found an article about the Lounge axiom "you can't out exercise a bad diet"


Very long, but kinda interesting.

Bottom line is it looks like anything short of professional athlete levels of exercise does almost no good for weight loss. Exercise seems to actually lower your base metabolic rate. So even if the treadmill says you burned 400 calories, your body will adapt and burn 300 fewer calories doing things like breathing, digesting food, pumping blood, etc.
