Aerobic exercise-this would be true, Anaerobic exercise-not so much.

Aerobic exercise is all about body efficiency so over time it takes less calories for your body to maintain living. Anaerobic exercise (muscle building), requires an increased calorie input over time to repair and maintain muscle mass. every pound of muscle gained increases your daily calorie needs.

The last time I was seriously into weight training I needed to eat over 3500 cals a day to not feel like I was starving...and I still lost 70 pounds.
