Other than football, basketball, ice hockey; colleges can give scholarships

Colleges which have endowments can give academic scholarships which exceed full ride athletic scholarships, they can also give both athletic and academic scholarships. By the way this is how Stanfords and Dukes can have superior athletic teams in their minor sports. Colleges just have to decide where they want to spend their endowment money.
