I agree with your assessment. Kendyl is not an ACC player. But, she does

serve a function as a streaky three point shooter that, when hot, can make the other team’s defense rotate off of others. From what I saw of Jones’ play, she still needs a fair amount of playing experience to be a factor on the college level.

With regards to the daughter who is redshirting, I have not seen her play so I cannot assess her status as an ACC player. But, from what I have heard, she is Kendyl redux.

At this point the team needs some depth, regardless of player ability, which is stressed with Berry most likely not playing this season and Kinder might not play this season either.
