She's a spot-up shooter. She allows her defender to slough off and give help defense. For the 1st time in her career, she's driven to the basket (once in each of the last two games). The crowd cheered for her (out of surprise).
She doesn't rebound, doesn't play defense and brings very little to the table. The look of nepotism by Kenny is not a good look, and it's the unspoken elephant in the room.
We're all giving Kenny a pass, because he's light years ahead of his two predecessors. Rhetorically, what happens next year when both his daughters are playing? Who in their right mind would bring this up to Kenny or Whit? It would serve no purpose. Jones was clearly better than Kendyl, and she made the right decision--for her. None of the current players on the team are going to say anything about the coach's daughter, or else their playing time would decrease.
It's not a good look for Kenny and/or Kendyl, but I'm resigned to it, sadly.
