She told me today that she contacted Campus Lost and Found Saturday...

but hadn't thought of contacting police. She's going to do that today. I agree with you HHnS...pretty dangerous to wear something with that much sentimental value, maybe that was part of her deal though, taking something of her Mom's to the game. Not sure.
