Every time NASCAR tinkers with the product, they seem to make it worse

Which genius thought segment racing was a good idea? If I wanted to watch segment racing, then I would just go to my local track (i.e. Eastside Speedway). Heck I am not even sure NASCAR is doing segment racing correctly when the first 3-5 laps in Segment 2 and Segment 3 are under caution.

If NASCAR implemented qualifiers like you suggest, then would that take away from the uniqueness of the Duals at Daytona and the format for the All-Star Race? Also, it would force NASCAR to change the names of the races. Instead of the Daytona 500, Coca-Cola 600 (Charlotte), Pocono 400, GEICO 500 (Talladega), it would then become the Daytona 38, Coca-Cola 43, Pocono 47, and GEICO 38. At tracks like Bristol, Martinsville, and maybe Richmond, the cars could go at least 100 miles on 2 tanks. For the 2 road courses, they might get 100 miles.
