Yes, Its a huge issue for Financial Institutions


Skimming as well as theft from merchant databases. It would be somewhat unusual for your data to be stolen and then used locally, as most skimming stems from thieves that quickly move on and merchant fraud usually occur remotely. Suggests perhaps a budding local thief who will likely get caught soon as the pattern becomes clear.
