Of course Windows in on everyone's home and work PCs. And if it isn't Windows it's Apple.

Don't forget about your bank. And your credit cards. And every merchant you buy things from. And all the "shadow profiles" that get put together based on acquaintance data from everyone you happen to know. And all the totally insecure data being passed around on public wifi networks.

Singling out Google (or Facebook, or whomever...) as if they are a particularly bad actor, or as if avoiding them is going to make an iota of difference ... is naive.
